Group Finance Manager

About The Role

An opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading diversified fresh produce businesses with a focus on sustainable farming, natural capital and renewable energy. We are looking for a dynamic recently qualified accountant to join the business as group financial manager.

Hugh Lowe Farms is headquartered in the beautiful village of Mereworth. The group financial manager will provide meaningful data to the board to support strategic decision-making. We are looking for an ambitious individual who wants to grow in our business and help drive business performance. The successful candidate will be passionate about making a difference to both people and the planet.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will develop good working relationships with the rest of the wider team. This will be a new role within an established team.

About You

You will be a qualified accountant with post qualification experience with an ability to communicate and influence at all levels. In addition, you will have:

- Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills

- Demonstrable evidence of predictive and forecasting modelling, planning and assisting with strategy

- Ability to work under pressure and to meet targets and deadlines

- Thorough and attentive to detail

- Ability to use your own initiative

We are a newly formed group of family owned and controlled horticultural businesses based in Mereworth, Kent.

We are predominantly focused on soft fruit and salad production where we operate a well-established brand to into a variety of customers - multiple retailers, processers, local sales and the wider market. These sit alongside a significant arable operation adopting regenerative farming principles.

Full time role Monday-Thursday 9.00 am -5.00 pm, Friday 9.00 am – 4.00 pm, with ½ an hour lunch break.
