Hugh Lowe Farms Ltd. is a family-owned farming company established over 100 years ago. Farming approximately 400 ha of mixed soft fruit/arable fields, we are one of the largest soft fruit businesses in the UK. Harvesting runs from May through to November at our Mereworth location in Kent. In addition the farm has a nearby glasshouse producing a high quality raspberry crop.
All our berries are chilled and packed in our own packhouse built for the purpose in 2003. Excellent refrigeration and automated packing lines, and good transport links make it a highly effective facility which ensures we continue to meet the high standards demanded by our customers.
We supply major supermarkets locally and nationally, as well as farm shops and stalls. We have also supplied all the strawberries for the Wimbledon tennis championships through FMC, the catering company, for more than 20 years.
